Program Details

Lace up your shoes and join Queen’s Athletics & Recreation for our Virtual Running Series kicking off July 6!

This free Virtual Running Series will consist of scheduled active challenges to be completed on a route of your choice, anytime during each challenge weekend. Run inside, outside, on a forested trail, or through your neighbourhood - it is YOUR run!* Although the program started July 6, participants are encouraged to join and get started at any time throughout the summer.

Registration is required to participate, but you don’t have to be in Kingston to move with us. All participant levels are welcome (run, walk and adaptive categories available). Register in your preferred category and check out the links below for training support and additional instructions.

Total newbie? Use our progressive Learn to Run training plan to get started, take advantage of expert advice, and engage with our active community. More experienced runner? Use our Build your Endurance training plan to work towards a 10km distance. The first training block starts July 6, so join us at our weekly Running with Motivation sessions starting July 13 from 5:00-6:00PM where we talk all things running/walking, review the weekly training plans, and answer all your active questions!

Summer 2020 Challenge Weekends for all categories:

Challenge #1: Aug. 1-2 – 5 or 10km - CHALLENGE 1 RESULTS
Challenge #2: Aug. 29-30 – 5 or 10km

*Please ensure that you are staying safe, following all traffic signage, maintaining social distancing practices, avoiding group runs/walks, and adhering to current restrictions in place by public health authorities.
